New Familiars w/ O Mello Cello Tree
doors @ 6, show @ 7.
$6 in adv, $8 day of show

For Years now, North Carolina's The New Familiars have been touring & playing their own style of American Rock & Roll wherever and whenever they can. Drawing from the vast influences that they've collected throughout their collective careers, this quartet has shaped a sound that combines the nitty-gritty roots music of the Appalachia with guitar-drenched-drum-driven anthems of Rock & Roll. Through collective songwriting, howling harmonies, & multi-instrumental talent, their show can take you from a back porch hoe-down to a full on rock show at the change of an instrument.

Having played hundreds of shows from the sunny beaches of FL to the bustling cities of MA and from the Smokies to the Rockies, these gentlemen have seen some miles and have some stories. On an almost constant state of tour, they have managed to release a few EPs, a VINYL single, and are currently on tour with their NEW LIVE ALBUM; all the while continuing work on a full length album. Look for them to be playing somewhere near you soon

Connor Christian & Southern Gothic
Doors @ 9, show @ 930.

Equal parts modern troubadour, back road poet and outlaw rocker, Connor Christian creates gritty, soulful songs of experience revealing solace in hardship, hope in destitution, and a dustbowl sensibility. His powerful music draws on influences ranging from Ryan Adams, G. Love, and Counting Crows to The Band and Tumbleweed Connection-era Elton John and makes a heartfelt statement found at the crossroads of Roots Rock and Americana.

Connor left home at the age of 14 and forged a path of personal and musical discovery that took him to Indonesia, South Korea, France, Belgium, Singapore, and beyond. It was in these places that Connor cultivated his deeply felt views on American life and found strength in the perspective he could deliver through song. “I try to be realistic…” says Connor. “But, we live in a time where it is crucial to pay attention to what's going on around us… if I can get people to stop and think about it for a minute, well that's a pretty good start.”

In 2007, Connor's song ‘3 Times' was featured in “the most award winning independent film of 2007,” ‘Last Stop for Paul.'

Audiences from Denver to New York City have embraced Connor's whiskey-soaked vocals and give-'em-hell live show. Performing as Connor Christian and Southern Gothic, Connor averages 250 shows per year and has sold thousands of CDs and downloads.

Following up 2007's release of A Southern Gothic, Connor Christian released ‘90 Proof Lullabies' in March 2009. This set of 14 songs was produced by Jeff Tomei (Matchbox 20, Jerrry Cantrell), mixed by Shawn Grove (Collective Soul, Sevendust) and features Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke, Mark Van Allen of Blueground Undergrass and Bobby Emmett of the Shooter Jennings Band.

Cary Ann Hearst w/ Ryan Bonner, Michael Trent
doors @ 9, show @ 930.
$8 in advance, $10 day of show.

Cary Ann Hearst has a big mouth and a sparkle in her eye. She has a snappy turn of phrase, a simple sense of melody and primeval sense of guitar rhythm that is a direct result of her nashville upbringing. She cried when she woke up in Jackson MS on her first tour bus ride with Butch Walker because she wanted to see her grandfathers grave. She is a small and powerful piece of artillery and she sings like jesus little probate. if she comes to your town you should come to listen. Those who hate country music hate her especially for forcing them to like country music, but she doesnt give a shit about what people like. Shes only smart enough to care about what she likes. Now, help ya'self!

The Mosier Brothers (founding members of Blueground Undergrass)
details tba

Founding members of Bluegound Undergrass, The Mosier Brothers Band brings 30 years of experience to this latest project of alternative Cosmic Americana and bluegrass-laced roots rock. Veterans of the jamband and jamgrass scene, this new project draws even more from their influences, ranging from bluegrass and jazz to psychedelic folk-rock and alt-country.

At the helm is electric banjo frontman (and former Phish bluegrass coach) Jeff Mosier (A.K.A. “The Reverend”) along with brother Johnny Mosier on guitar. Legendary Widespread Panic fiddler David Blackmon underpins the front line, and drummer Jack Watson and bassist Dustin Sargent bring the rock solid arrray of styles to fill in the eclectic genre-bending arrangements for which the Mosier Brothers are best known. Always high energy and entertaining on every level, each show is like a musical journey.

Pure, arresting and honest, her voice makes you take notice; Kim has the kind of voice where if emotions were ribbons, they'd be streaming in rainbow colours from your iPod. Her voice gives you goose bumps.
